Glazing Society of India (GSI) has several Testing Programs for the testing of Glass, Glazing Products and its associated materials used in Buildings. These testing programs are formulated are based on the testing facilities and capacity at the Partner Institutions of GSI. These programs are designed to provide unbiased and independent testing platform for manufacturers, builders, developers, and other related organizations with accurate and authentic testing reports based on the samples tested at these facilities. All the testing at these facilities are done based on the applicable Indian and International Standards.

The Testing Programs offered by GSI are given below :

•     PPCP 1.0 - Characterization of Glass for Thermo-Optical-Physical Properties

  Testing of Glass and Insulated Glazing Unit (IGU) for Solar Heat Gain Co-Efficient (SHGC) or Solar Factor, Emissivity, U Value, Internal and External Light reflection, Internal and External Solar Reflection, Solar Direct transmittance, Visible Light Transmittance (VLT), Shading Co-Efficient and others

•     PPCP 2.0 - Quality and Safety Performance of Processed Glass

  Testing of Processed Glass including Toughened Glass, Laminated Glass, Insulated Glazing Unit and Heat Strengthened Glass

•     PPCP 3.0 - Quality Performance of Float Glass

  Testing of Float Glass including Visible Light Transmittance (VLT), UV Test, Optical and Visual Faults, Bloom Test and others

•     PPCP 4.0 - Energy Performance of Window / Door

  Testing of Window / Door for U Value, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) or Solar Factor, Air Leakage Rate and Visible Light Transmission

•     PPCP 5.0 - Structural Performance of Window / Door

  Testing of Window / Door for Structural Stability, Water Infiltration, Air Infiltration and others

•     Custom Testing
