GSI has signed a MoU with CEPT University, Ahmedabad

GSI has signed an MoU with Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) University, Ahmedabad for setting up of the first state-of-the-art testing lab in India called Building Energy Performance Laboratory (BEPL). BEPL shall test the glass and other building material products for their energy performance and provide accurate, independent and technically sound testing results, which could be used for Product Rating, Certification and Energy Performance Labeling by Glazing Society of India. 

The Phase-I of the BEPL is expected to be ready in the last quarter of 2009. This will be a major milestone for the Indian Building Envelop Industry.
